Proteos releases new Mouse Alpha-Synuclein reagent
10/30/2018

Proteos recently added Mouse alpha-Synuclein Monomer to Generate Pre-formed Fibrils to our online catalog of validated protein reagents, generated in collaboration with the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF), to support Parkinson’s disease (PD) research.  Alpha-synuclein products are available for order online at https://www.proteos.com/order.

The mouse alpha-synuclein product is a recombinant monomeric protein prepared and formulated using protocols specifically optimized for generating pre-formed fibrils (PFFs).  The product is validated to effectively form pathogenic PFFs for in vivo or in vitro use in models of PD.  The protocol for generating PFFs with this protein was highlighted in the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease.

Our alpha-synuclein products are developed in collaboration with the Michael J. Fox Foundation and Dr. Kelvin Luk to produce high-quality, fully-validated research reagents for PD research.  This collaboration promotes standardization of reagents across the PD research community and enables the comparison of results between research organizations.

Similar products from Proteos include Human α-Synuclein Monomer to Generate PFFs, item #RP-003, also available to order online at https://www.proteos.com/order
