How do I request a quotation?

Click on the “Request a Quote” link at the bottom of this page, or click here. One of our scientists will provide you with a quotation or contact you regarding any questions within 2 business days.

What starting materials are required to begin a project?

We are able to begin projects at many different stages, so the starting material will be dependent on the type of project you are requesting.  Typically, most projects begin with customer-provided plasmid DNA or an amino acid sequence.  Sequence information can be provided in the quote request form or attached in a separate document and submitted with the completed quote request form.

Where do I send starting materials?

Digital information, such as sequences or protocols, can be sent by email to your project manager or to QuoteRequest@proteos.com.  Physical starting material can be shipped to the address below.  Please reference your quotation number on the shipment or packing slip.

Proteos, Inc.
4717 Campus Drive
Kalamazoo, MI 49008

What is your lead time for projects?

We are able to start most projects shortly after receipt of a Purchase Order and all required starting materials.

How much protein can I expect to receive?

Protein amounts vary greatly from project to project.  We do not guarantee protein amounts for any given project, but we will provide all of the protein that is purified from a specified culture volume and scope of work.  If you are unsure about protein yield or have not previously produced a protein, we strongly recommend starting your project with pilot production for yield analysis prior to full scale production.

How much will it cost for 1 mg of purified protein?

Costs can vary greatly between projects due to varying expression levels, type of expression platform, number of purification steps needed, etc.  Therefore, our costs are based on culture volumes and purification complexity rather than milligram amounts of protein.  For recombinant protein production, each quotation will include a scope of work outlining the proposed culture volume and purification steps.  You will receive all of the protein purified from the quoted scope of work, even if it exceeds the targeted amount.

What deliverables will I receive upon completion of my project?

A full technical report and all deliverables specified in the quotation.

What are typical turnaround times?

Typical turnaround times for recombinant protein production are 6-10 weeks but will vary depending on the type of project.  Expedited turnaround times may be available for specific projects depending on scope, please inquire.
