Mammalian Cell Expression
Mammalian cell expression for production of proper post-translationally modified recombinant proteins. Post translational modification is often required for efficient secretion and function and is preferred in downstream applications that require biologically functional protein. Our industry leading transient expression platform utilizes fully licensed HEK (human embryonic kidney) and CHO (Chinese hamster ovary) cells lines. Typical productions times are 4-6 weeks for construct design, expression, and purification.
Insect Cell Expression
Baculovirus mediated protein expression in our fully licensed Sf9 (Spodoptera frugiperda) and Tni PRO (Trichoplusia ni) cell lines. Both cells lines are suitable for the production of intracellular or secreted recombinant proteins with a majority of the post-translational modifications found in mammalian cells. Typical productions times are 4-6 weeks for construct design, expression, and purification.
Bacterial expression for rapid, economical production of recombinant proteins of prokaryotic origin or of eukaryotic origin if complex post-translation modifications are not required for proper folding and function. Our expression platform utilizes numerous commercially available E. coli strains and fully validated expression protocols for consistent and reproducible protein expression in shake flask culture volumes up to 24 L per batch. Typical productions times are 1 week for cell paste, 1-3 weeks for expression and purification, and 4-6 weeks for construct design, expression, and purification.
