The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) Partnership
The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease (PD) through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
The Foundation recognizes the utility of protein reagents as critical for a number of applications, including for use as standards in assays. Given this need, MJFF is working to generate a number of reagents around key PD targets.
Proteos has proudly partnered with The Michael J. Fox Foundation to provide high-quality reagents to support Parkinson’s disease research. The following reagents are made available to researchers for a small fee thanks to the generosity and involvement of MJFF. Full-Length human alpha-synuclein monomeric protein generated in vitro. This protein was used to generate alpha-synuclein filament which was then used as antigen for the MJF-14 alpha-synuclein filament-specific antibody available from Abcam (ab209538).
Full-Length human alpha-synuclein protein expressed in vitro and manipulated to form alpha-synuclein filaments. This filament version of alpha-synuclein was used as antigen for the MJF-14 conformation-specific rabbit monoclonal alpha-synuclein filament specific antibody available from Abcam (ab209538).
Alpha-synuclein monomer to generate preformed fibrils
Full-Length human alpha-synuclein monomeric protein specially formulated to generate pre-formed fibrils. A protocol for generating pre-formed fibrils from this monomeric protein will be included with each order.
Aliquots are available in 1 mg increments up to 10. Requests above 10 mg total per protein in a single order will not be considered. Questions about this limit can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alpha-synuclein phospho-Ser129 peptide:
Phospho-S129 Alpha Synuclein semi-synthetic phosphomimetic peptide generated by native chemical ligation of a recombinant peptide produced from E. coli and a synthtic peptide.
